- This box is very similar in design to the livestock vanish box where the rabbit is placed into a box, covered and a sword thrust through.
When the box is opened the rabbit is gone and only the sword going through the empty box is seen by the audience.
The first improvement is the size. This box is 12" x 9" x 8 1/2" high. It is beautifully constructed to look just like a jailhouse.
Instead of a sword going through the box a large key goes through. This is better especially for children who might think that the rabbit is being hurt by the sword.
The rabbit can be introduced as a descendent of one of Houdini's rabbits that learned like Houdini to be an escape artist.
Even when the rabbit is locked in a jail he can escape. Many other possibilities of routines including themes on crime doesn't pay, drugs are bad for you can be used.
The box can be used in reverse to make the rabbit appear.
